Privacy policy.

RENVOR collects as little personal information as possible and uses it only to reply to you and deliver work you have asked for. This page explains exactly what that means.

Who we are

RENVOR is an independent web design studio operated by Lorcan Myles from Tallanstown, Co. Louth, Ireland. For anything in this policy, contact lorcan@renvor.ie or ring 087 706 6497. RENVOR is the data controller for information submitted through this website.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you submit the enquiry form, we receive the details you enter: your name, an optional business name, an email address or phone number (at least one) and your preferred way to reply, an optional website address, the service you are interested in, and your answers to the questions for that service. Depending on the service, those can include a package or plan you are interested in, what you would like the project to achieve, how a task is done today and how often it comes up, when you would like to start and a rough budget, plus anything you write in the free-text fields. We also record the page you came from and how long the form took to complete, the latter purely as a spam check.

If you email, ring or message on WhatsApp instead, we hold whatever you send us through that channel.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — typically IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — for security and reliability. RENVOR does not use these to build a profile of you and does not link them to enquiry data.

This website uses Plausible Analytics to measure aggregate traffic — how many people visit, which pages they read, roughly where in the world they came from and whether the enquiry form was completed. Plausible is a privacy-focused, EU-hosted service that is cookieless by design: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and assigns you no persistent identifier, so there is nothing to consent to and no way to follow you from one website to another. No personal data is collected and nothing RENVOR receives from it identifies you individually.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding, at an aggregate level, whether the website is working. If you would rather not be counted at all, any browser content blocker will stop it, and doing so changes nothing about how the site works for you.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies at all — none of its own, and no analytics, advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking cookies from anyone else — and it embeds no third-party social or advertising widgets. Our analytics provider is cookieless by design, which is precisely why it was chosen. Because there are no non-essential cookies to consent to, no cookie banner is displayed. If that ever changes, this page will be updated and consent will be requested before any such cookie is set.

Why we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To deliver a project you have engaged us for, including sending proposals, previews and invoices. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
  • To keep records required by law, such as accounting records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
  • To protect the website from spam and abuse. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site usable.

We do not send marketing emails, we do not add enquirers to a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing purposes.

Who else sees it

Enquiries are delivered through the website host and form provider, correspondence sits with our email provider, and aggregate traffic measurement is processed by Plausible Analytics. These providers process data on RENVOR's instructions under their own data protection terms. Where a provider operates outside the EU/EEA, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard under that provider's terms.

If you become a client, our accountant may see invoice records. Nobody else is given access to your information unless we are legally required to disclose it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client project records: for the duration of the relationship and 12 months after.
  • Accounting records: six years, as required by Irish tax law.
  • Server logs: as retained by our hosting provider, typically under 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to access a copy of your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email lorcan@renvor.ie. We will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS, so enquiry data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so RENVOR keeps the amount of personal data it holds to the minimum needed to reply to you and deliver work.

Children

This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here with a new date at the top. This version was last updated in September 2026.
